Product/Service Review: JewelMint

For someone like me who has established my business online, it's pretty ironic that I am not a huge online shopper. There's just something about going to the local stores that makes shopping more enjoyable for me. Recently though, since I've started my fashion blog,I've been spending more time on online stores and I came across JewelMint.com. It's a personalized jewelry shopping site by Hollywood celebrity Kate Bosworth and her stylist Cher Coulter.

I am a huge accessory gal so right away this appealed to me. Although the concept is not entirely new, I still love the fact that you can get recommendations from a celebrity and a professional stylist based on the results of a short fashion quiz you take.

The registration is totally FREE…

So, I got a couple of things from JewelMint in the mail last week and I was beyond ecstatic to see the packaging! I didn't expect to see such a nice presentation, it was so lovely, I almost didn't want to open it. It totally makes you feel that you got a gift from Kate Bosworth herself!

What I also liked about it was the fact that you don't even have to pack or wrap it anymore. This will definitely make as great Christmas gifts for your friends, relatives, and clients!

There is just something about packaging/presentation that adds more to the perceived value!

Inside the box was a note but you can definitely personalize with your own note. Hand write it to make it more personal.

These are the beautiful pieces I got:
1. Lady Noir Two Tone Rings made of hematite metal

2. Savoy Bracelet

These jewelry pieces do look expensive. Don't let the gorgeous look and the high-quality fool you. In fact, until the end of the month only, they have a 50% OFF promotion for any first time customers if you use the code ECJM50. You can get the same exact pieces which is normally $29.99 each for only half the price!

I am not in the retail industry but if you are, here's what I learned from a business perspective:
1. Your packaging and presentation adds value to your products.
2. Adding a note adds a personal touch to the service.
3. Personalized shopping is the trend right now so think creatively how you can personalize your products and services.

Until then!…
