Linda Tong: When Was the Last Time You Wrote a Note?

Technology and internet, as amazing as they are, have made communications these days a little bit impersonal.

That's why sometimes it is important to go back to the traditional means of connecting with the people that matter to you to show your genuine care and appreciation.

This is what KindNotes is all about. It is a themed or personalized set of messages placed in a decorative jar. Each jar contains 31 mini notes that you can send to your loved ones.

On my interview with Linda Tong, the owner and creator of KindNotes, she mentioned some of the keys to her business success which you can very well apply also in your journey to entrepreneurship.

1. Research
Linda did lots of research from finding out if her product idea exists in the market to learning photography, getting her site up and running and getting prototypes done to finding that perfect PR firm to work with.

2. Word of Mouth Marketing
Linda attributes a lot of the success in her business to word of mouth. Her clients are doing the marketing for her! If you have a great product and a great customer service, you can mobilize your clients to talk about your product and company and you won't have to pay a single dime.

3. Constant Learning
Being a business owner should not stop you from trying to improve your product, company, and self. This is what Linda does. She's constantly trying to learn new things and keeping her self up-to-date with what's out there and how it can help her business grow.

4. Never Giving Up
Starting a business and making it work is never easy. There will be days when you just want to give up. This is true for everybody. It's important to believe in yourself, to believe in your product or idea, and never give up no matter what happens.

5. Networking
Connect with other individuals in the business. Reach out to other entrepreneurs because you can learn from them. They will inspire you and motivate you.

  1. I love to recieve cards. I love when I get them from my patients and families. I know that it is easier to email, so when a card comes in the mail, it says something special.
